Message	little tidbit of 411. I was down in Big Sur for work today when I was down to near fumes. In Big Sur, there was a Chevron station but I thought it was odd that there was no sign showing gasoline prices. When I pulled up to the pump, I saw that Super Unleaded was $3.44. No, it's not a typo. It was $3.44. I don't think I've seen or heard it being more expensive anywhere else in the Continental US. Un-freaking-believable. Needless to say, I added $7.00 worth and waited until I was in Carmel where I filled up at the bargain price of $2.35. I remember when I bitched and complained when gas was up at $1.79 a gallon for super. Those days are long gone.
